Easy Poll Goes Down

...and with it my blog, momentarily.

It was pretty freaky man/woman. Just the kind of thing that would happen on a Friday in March (or anytime). I went to see my virtual sweetness (my blog) and she was all pale, white and woozy instead of being fortified, black and sophisticated. As it turned out, the server that housed my poll, which some of you were democratic and involved in your citizenship enough to vote on, went down. The URL that my blogger template code referred to was suspended, so it messed everything up! I thought I was ruined but alas, I have done me a little surgery on my code, excised the offending garble, and now things are back to normal.

I could use your help however, dear readers. Could someone please recommend a reliable, easy, free, polling service to me?

I don't really know of any, to be honest. You might think about migrating your blog to LiveJournal since they have a lot of tools for that kind of stuff, methinks.

But whatever you do, don't use Bravenet.com.
Just don't. They spam. And they cause your site to pop up windows. Oh, and you can only store 5 polls on a free account.

Christ, where do you meet all these beautiful women, and why do they all flock to your blog? I should stop posting about geeky things, and maybe some would flock to mine. ;)

I'm a new reader. If my offerance is useless then just excuse it.

However, I have a judgemental aunt who likes LuckyPolls.

I hope it helps!

georgelarson -Thank you for the reference and welcome! I guess you could say I was lucky enough for a lucky poll. Please make a vote!

chloe -You just won the internet supervisor award for 2006. Congratulations! xxx

lorena -Trust that a good sir would not leave you wordless in this blogospheric world. My voice likes being with you.

opinionatedinjerzee -Realizing that our clients are busy, vibrant people who value the right to read material that suits their interests whenever they want, however they want, Writings of Faith is a surefire solution to lingering doubts about the status of humanity. It offers a variety of pictures and articles designed to the opinionated, searching or epicurean palette. It is now open weekdays, evenings and weekends, even when you sleep -virtually any time you're breathing!

j -Yeah, I know some people like http://www.livejournal.com/. Right now I'm happy here in blogger, but I will consider checking out their features. About the beautiful women: the reason they come here is one of their most guarded secrets, but it helps that they are good readers/writers too. We play ping pong with ideas. I think perhaps God likes to bless me. You don't necessarily have to abandon your geekiness. Just do what I do: go hunting for good blogs and leave comments all over like a shameless socialite. You should go recruit some geeks.
