Hockey Night in Canada

The last time I watched hockey, I sprawled out on the couch with a brew and a girl in the summer of 2004. It was the semi-finals, and the leafs lost. I blamed it on McCabe's sloppy passes. Last year, there was a lock-out, so there was no hockey. I'm not a die-hard fan but I was still disappointed.

Hockey now returns. The first game starts in five minutes.

GO LEAFS GO!!

Yeah, poor Sundin. They shoulda never made it legal to not have face-masks: just look what happened to Domi last year -stick in the eye. Lindros had a great goal. Too bad his thunder was stolen two seconds later when Ottawa scored. I expected more goals but it was cool to see the first shoot-out in NHL history. The leafs had a tough goalie to shoot against. They better win next game.

The shootout was kind of cool, mind you. And my 'Nucks won.

Okay, it was against Phoenix, but still. :)
